Creative advertising

It's usually not a good idea for activists to buy paid advertisements. Ads cost too much, especially if they are to be repeated enough times to make a dent in the minds of your audience. But paid ads can make sense if they are (1) carefully tailored to reach your target audience and (2) so creative or controversial that journalists write about them as "news," exponentially stretching your advertising dollar.

As always, the key is to be strategic.
